La Casa del Sol, (Sun's House), Federación Street

Just across San Clemente Chapel (south side of Zamora Street) is one of the oldest colonial houses in Coro, being built in the 17th century. Its name comes from the sun above the door, symbol of God. The fine residence belonged at one time to José Garcés, who built The Casa de las Ventanas de Hierro. It later served as school and courthouse.
