Catedral de Coro (Coro's Cathedral), Ciencias Street

The Catedral's tower stands since 1620, and it is believed that the whole construction was finally completed in 1634, almost fifty years after the decision of start the construction was taken. Between the all the edifications built before 1713, the Cathedral is the most important, because of its architecture characteristics,, it established the guidelines for the construction of the rest of the Churches in the country and the whole Continent.

The Pope Clement VII made Coro South America's first bishopric in 1531 , thus this Church became the first Cathedral.
