The photographs from the right  were taken by Hans Stauffer. He visited Moruy for the first time, February 1998, when tourist visited  the Paraguaná Peninsula to watch the last Total Eclipse of the century in the Western Hemisphere.

Moruy, " is a beautiful colonial town that all Venezuela need to know. In my opinion, Moruy is one of the most beautiful "pueblos" of the Paraguaná Península."

The church of Moruy, is one of the prettiest Colonial Churches in the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcon State. The Church was built in 1760 and is 238 years old. Moruy is located near Santa Ana and is a popular starting point for a hike up to Cerro Santa Ana.

"The destructive elements of the earthquakes taught the people to take preventive measures. The church of Moruy is an example of these works that should survive tremors. Look the walls of contention, also in the interior their solid columns."
